Heroes
If we can view ourselfs as self enpowered, divine beings of love and realize that we are all one, then we are all heroes.

About me: Dr. Salo Stanley, DC is a practicing chiropractor of 22 years. She graduated from Life Chiropractic College West, in San Lorenzo California in 1986 Magna Cum Laude. She is also a musician, artist, inventor and sound healer. After a trip to Sedona Arizona in 1995 a spiritual awakening gave her great gifts for music and healing with sound. Dr. Stanley utilizes both sound and music therapy in her practice. She is a member of HMO (Healing Music Organization) in Santa Cruz, California. She has studied with world renowned sound healer and author Jonathan Goldman in Colorado, and Acupuncturists/sound healers Jude and Paul Ponton in Sedona, Arizona. She has studied with sound healer Aleya Dao of the Dao Institute and Journey Work Practioner, from Santa Barbara, Caifornia. Dr. Stanley is a journery work practioner. Sound treatment consists of tuning forks applied to acupuncture points on the body. "Every illness is a musical problem and every cure has a musical solution“ Novalis 16th century. "The Body is held together by sound. The presence of disease indicates that some sounds have gone out of tune." Dr. Deepak Chopra. Thus by applying the tuning forks the body can get back in tune and become healthy and harmonious. Just think when you are sad or depressed, you put on your favorite music and you instantly feel better. If a patient comes in after a bad day, she may get out her small Celtic harp and pluck a simple tune to help brighten up their day.
Dr. Stanley has performed in the past with her Native American Flute with Mark Shuklian percussionist with the jazz band “Zzah”. Mark and Salo produced a CD called “Walking Between Worlds" Music of the Native American Flute and percussion. They have been on the Santa Barbara PBS television show “Bridging Heaven and Earth” with new age writer Hank Wesselman which was broadcast to 50 cities across the United States, France and England. They have performed at festivals in San Francisco, Lark in the Morning World Music Festival, Borders and vast healing centers in the Western US.
Dr. Stanley has performed in Helena, Montana 1998 at the R. Carlos Nakai retreat/workshop with R. Carlos Nakai as the Master of Ceremonies.
Dr. Stanley also performs with musician, singer, songwriter Barb Heintzelman (Bullet Bra Betty, My Baby Thinks I am a White Girl" "Snake Oil Madame") here in Fresno at the Full Circle Brewery, Joe’s Steakhouse, Sweets Café and Valley Children‘s Hospital special music program.
Recently, she has performed with Lance Canales who performs his original songs, blues, folk, vocals, guitar here in the Valley. She plays the Native American Flute, Cajon (box drum), and Djembe. The most recent appearances has been at the Patio Café in Fig Garden, and the Auberry Library. Musician Pieter Moerdyk has joined in and played bass, harmonica and Native American Flute at these performances.
Salo feels that music offers a sense of spiritual presence and remembrance of who we are. In reality we are all music/vibration and all interconnected in this vast Universe, music brings us home again.

Season of the Popping Trees
Moon of the Popping Trees / When Deer Shed Their Horns. Families traditionally were busy putting up and storing goods for the next cycle of seasons. Elders enjoyed teaching and retelling ancient stories of the people to the young while sitting around a fire while the trees were popping.
DECEMBER Snow Moon Usgiyi
The spirit being, "Snow Man", brings the cold and snow for the earth to cover the high places while the earth rests until the rebirth of the seasons in the Windy Moon Anuyi. Full Moon on December 15th is called; Cold Moon, Oak Moon, Wolf Moon, Moon of Long Nights, Long Night's Moon, Aerra Geola (Month Before Yule), Wintermonat (Winter Month), Heilagmanoth (Holy Month), Big Winter Moon, Moon of Popping Trees. Northern Cheyenne name the first moon after the winter solstice Moon of the Popping Trees if it is cold enough, ice creaks and snaps and the tree sap pops. While the trees in the fire were popping from moisture and the heat.
I love what you've done with the place! I'm very interested in sound healing, I too believe that we are held together by sound, that sound can heal us and that we all have an "inner buddah" +D
