I write music for the guitar, piano, and voice. I also read a lot. The majority of the music that I've written have been after reading different stories and ideas I like. I read this theory book once that explained that composing is the result of our understanding of "chordal" movement, which is based on reactions to vibrations against overtones. I wonder at this law of physics and how it affects our perception of sound and movement. What we "want" to hear, and how we "want sounds to follow" play an effect of how we listen, but it still doesn't change the way sound waves divide. I often think of sound and movement in formed shapes laying them orderly in my mind, the math is the beauty in the science of creating anything.
Thank you for listening.
My wife Ashley (formerly Brown) and I saw you at the record bar awhile back, and we were blown away! This may seem kind of strange, but I was wondering if you ever gave lessons, particularly in fingerpicking! I would love to work with you as well, if you ever would be into collaboration. I get a good sound with my 'portable recording studio' if you ever needed to record as well... Thank you for your time and consideration.
