Salt to Bitters is a drinking band, mixing alt country with indie rock. The band was started in Chapel Hill, NC in January of 2007 by Tony Raver (Violets for Nikki, The Relatively Calm, Twilighter). Since the band has been put together different artists have worked on the project including Stu Cole (Chicken Wire Gang, Squirrel Nut Zippers) and Jenni Tonic (Whiskey Town, Calico Haunts, Jimmy and the Teasers) and Brian Cabler (Western Civ).
Front man Tony Raver is currently staying at his parents house in florida working on the first full length release and preparing for a tour of the east coast in March of 2009 with Western Civ. Other Current band members include Jesse Kleene ..s, Brian Meek on strings and chimes, and Dot on Bass.

I saw you online and hoped I'd find a local show posted on your calendar, [...and not on a night where I've already other shows! -Too much to hope for? ] Maybe when I post this I'll go back to your page and look at your calendar with the same excitement and anticipation of a kid looking in their stocking at Christmas.
In the meantime I'm just going to pull up a comfy seat and camp out on your page for a while, listening to some excellent music. Oooh, excellent!!!
