Movies
Television
Studio 60, Project Runway, Anthony Bourdain, The Office, Extras, Deadwood, Dinner for Five, and The Amazing Race. Also watch the Champions League(that's soccer to those saying huh?) on the rare occasion ESPN2 carries it, as well as tennis and Sox games. MLS is still boring to me on tv, in person is another story.
Books
Faulkner, Satre, Greene, Vonnegut, Shaw, Rousseau, Vidal, Dante, Mamet, Nabokov, DeLillo, Chomsky, Joyce, Bakunin, Fromm, Lawrence, Thompson, Locke, Hegel, Plato, Hobbes, cookbooks or nonfiction works on foodie trips around the world such as Bourdain's, the timeout travel guides. I also recommend a series of books Peter Mayle wrote on Provence.

About me: When alone, I sleep in the fetal position. Peanut Butter is my favorite food. I'm in love with France and Japan; everything from their history/politics to modern day pop culture. I hope to live in both at some point. Thus far, the only thing my college degree has produced is a well-read guy. But Barnes & Noble could have accomplished that for much less money. I used to follow Phish on tour ten years ago but these days can't sit through an entire show on tape. I like Subarus and am on my second one in a row; an '06 Alpine White 2.5RS. I like roadtrips, but hate roadtrip food. I'm not down with plastic surgery purely for vanity. I had my last three wisdom teeth out in 2005. I've never been to Las Vegas. I like black & white photography. I'll never win the lottery because I don't play it. I finally bought an Ipod last fall and use it as rarely as I expected I would. My father started out his college career as a brother at Notre Dame, so it was debatable whether or not I would eventually exist. I'm an agnostic democrat from MA who is glad John Kerry walked away from his 2008 aspirations. I play soccer, tennis, cycle, and run 5k's through marathons. I like to cook, favorites being Mediterranean, Japanese, Indian and Chilean. I love tapas. I don't like casinos or cruise ships. I miss my grandfather's stories about his WWII days stationed in/around Paris. Debussy is my favorite composer. My favorite club soccer team is Bayern Munich. My favorite tennis player is Justine Henin-Hardenne. I'm glad Lance Armstrong said that running a marathon is the hardest thing he's ever done. I love to camp and hike. My grandfather changed our last name to sound more "american" when he arrived from Italy. I'm 25% Italian, 25% Portuegese, 25% Dutch, 12.5% Swedish and 12.5% Irish.
