Samantha Cathcart is a self-taught, extremely independent, and wonderfully talented singer/songwriter. She wrote her first song winter of 06'/07', and has since then been writing and showcasing her music all over the country. She signed on with 5 Stone Productions, a record label based out of Southern California, June of 07', and had her first album, 'Devils Water' finished by the end of the month. After that, she packed up her bags and moved to the great city of Chicago with a couple of friends. She worked a lot of random jobs, and within the first year of living there, had begun to create a stir within the music scene. Samantha can now be seen playing all sorts of stages and shows throughout Chicago, and all over the country. Her plans for the future consist of plenty of touring, collaboration with other musicians and artists, and a new album within the next two years.
Her music can be found on Itunes, Cdbaby, Amazon and any other online music carrier.

Hey Sam, JD Priest is heading back to the Great Lakes area for some shows. He's on the road now. I see that you are heading back to Chicago, or may already be back. Could he contact you regarding some places to play in and around Chicago? He'd like to pick up a few gigs there while he's in the area. I told him to hit you via Myspace and then you guys could talk from there. Sound good? He's a great guy, and a fine friend. Anything you can do to connect him with some peeps would be appreciated.
Again, I am bummed that we didn't get to play some while you were out here :-( . You and Sherri-Anne keep rolling. Good things are coming your way. I can feel it!
