  • Bio

Philadelphia’s Samantha Gongol is a singer-songwriter who has shown a love of music since she was five years old. She took to the stage in high school musicals & theater, gospel choirs, competing in regional voice competitions. In 2007, she placed third out of 100 contestants in Delaware County Idol, beating out every other female competitor. She also trained with Sal Dupree (whose recent credits include vocal director of the film Standing Ovation), one of the East Coast’s most prominent vocal coaches. Good things come in small packages, as this petite 5’1” NYU student and musician can hush a crowd in a moment with her surprisingly big, yet sultry & soulful vocals. Her controlled and musically trained voice have recently landed her with an original musical score credit and is featured on WE TV’s docudrama, “Raising Sextuplets”. The press has referred to her as having a “lustrous, passionate voice and personal lyrics”. These days you’ll find her playing at World Café Live in Philadelphia, artist receptions in NYC, and other regional venues. Check out her repertoire in a local venue or on the web. Samantha’s 6-song debut is available here on myspace or for new music, tour schedule, music, news and updates at www.samanthagongol.com. New music is coming soon! “Which is just one more good reason to catch Gongol now…because the next time she plays…it might just be on a much larger stage.” –Craig Ostroff, Montgomery County Ticket Magazine “…As soon as Samantha Gongol came in the place was packed. Considering her talent I’m not surprised…she’s going to do legit business someday.” Boy Wonder, Artist and Booking Agent. ME

Hey Sam! I know I added you a while ago, but I finally got the time to sit down and listen to your music. It's not the kind of stuff I usually listen to, but you have a shi*load of talent. I'm sure you know, but just to reinforce the fact: you're going to go really far. Good luck with everything!
