I love going hiking and camping -- anything outdoors. My favorite place to hike is Big Bend National Park. I like mountain biking a lot though I need to get back into it.
I love live music too -- especially in small venues. The best shows I've seen live lately are Ian Moore and King's X (yeah they aren't very similar - sue me).
Movies are another one of my loves - especially if I get to see them at the Alamo Drafthouse. I like a lot of different kinds of movies - but the weirder the better.
I'm also into independent filmmaking. I've made two short films and I'm currently working on a third. No, they aren't that kind of films.
Music
I like a lot of different stuff - the people I listen to most right now are Ian Moore, Jane Bond, Neko Case, The Dog Men Poets, The Toadies, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, King's X, Disturbed, Junior Brown, The Mars Volta, Eric Johnson, Eric Gales, Dave Mathews Band, Primus, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Foo Fighters, Arc Angels, Tom Petty, Poundhound, Incubus, Sarah McLachman, Moke, U2, Soundgarden, The Clash, Queens of the Stone Age, Peter Gabriel, The Refreshments, Living Color, Lenny Kravitz, Danny Barnes, Steve Tibbets, Phil Keaggy, Baka Beyond, Soak, Al Dimeola, Vallejo, Days of the New, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Morse, No Doubt, Santana, John Coltrane, Jeff Beck, Shakira, Yes, Trout Fishing in America, Omar and the Howlers, Nine Inch Nails, Rush, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins...
Movies
A few of my favorites: The Big Lebowski, Dark City, Donnie Darko, Shaun of the Dead, GoodFellas, Bubba Ho-Tep, Amelie, The Devil's Backbone, Raising Arizona, Spider-man, Aliens, Delicatessen, City of Lost Children, Jaws, Memento, Master & Commander, Tombstone, Sin City, Kung Fu Hustle, The Thing, A History of Violence, Lord of the Rings, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Snatch, Ghost in the Shell, Nightmare Before Christmas, Phantasm, Lost in Translation, Blade I/II, The Gods Must Be Crazy, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Signs, The Sixth Sense, Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness, Swingers, Drunken Master II, Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Airplane!
If you haven't seen the show, this will sound beyond nerdy, but the new Battlestar Galactica is actually a great show. Time magazine actually named it best show on television ... so there. BG is so much better than the rest of the crap on Sci-Fi channel that words fail me.
24, Mythbusters, Insomniac, Doctor Who, Daily Show.
I've directed three short films: "Coin Toss", "Apparition", and "When It All Falls Down" which you can see on the Javelina Pictures page. I'll be starting a 4th film this weekend.
I'm a software developer by day and filmmaker and musician by night.
I love the outdoors, especially hiking and camping. I love to travel. I like checking out new stuff around town or just walking around downtown and on the riverwalk.
What I've Been Listening To
Who I'd like to meet:
People that like to create things: art, photography, film, music, and have fun. Interesting people are much cooler than celebrities anyway.
I'd love to meet someone who'll leave on the spur of the moment for a trip to the desert or the beach. Someone who's open to the opportunities that pop-up with no warning.

I usually stay in this crazy lil place called Creek Cabin in Study Butte, which is like a few blocks down the road from Terlingua. I love Big Bend too. The last time I went we did the Lost Mine Trail, Terlingua Ceek and Santa Elena Canyon. This will be the first year in the last 4 that I haven't gone. No time. Derby & work leaves me with no time. I can't wait to get Kitty Glitter back on the track with me!!! I NEEEEED her. The pics are cool. Thanks!
