Born and raised in Cambridge (UK British Ghanaian) her name Samata means balance and even mindedness.
Musically, Samata grew up listening to the likes of Mary J Blige, Lil Kim, SWV, Monica, A Tribe Called Quest, Immature, LL cool J, Heavy D, the Pharcyde......the list goes on and on. Today she listens to and am inspired by everyone from Amel Larrieux to Kevin Cossom, T.I to Jay-Z.
Samata is currently working on many projects in the music, fashion and entertainment worlds.
