Richard Siegler, great percussionist, has lived his life of musician for half a century with a dream of creating something very powerful, a BOOM that would shake people off their legs and leave a mark everywhere it goes. That challenge was made possible four years ago, when he found a group of ..Bastards.. interested in his idea of a drum group. In the begining, Richard gathered with Curtis, Dalton, Bastian, and few others at his house in Sag Harbor. It was very difficult for the rhythm to come out. Time passed, people joined, people left, and the group was getting tighter. It was only about a year later that we could call it a Samba. .... Today the group is called Escola de Samba Boom and has come far on the road. So far that Boom is known to be one of the best Samba Schools in the region. The school is open for the public to join. Rehearsals happen every Monday evening at Sagmain Beach, untill the cold season brings it indoors. Locations are determined by Richard (Richy). .... I'd like to invite those who belong to my community of friends, musicians, and all those interested in the BOOM to come join my forum board. I beginning fresh and there is no unwanted members, only those I invite. So far it is small but I can see the community growing. .... Like I said it is my own website, forum, and soon a blog! I set up the rules, and I judge who stays and goes. There will never be Spam, Viruses, ads, etc. It was created for us who share same or similar interests, friends,.......
