My name is Sammy Blanchette, or Sammy B whichever you prefer. I have been playing music since I was 10 years old and have enjoyed every minute of it. Been talking lessons since I was 13 and I go to school for music performance in jazz studies for guitar at Western Connecticut in Danbury. All types of music have been a big influence on my life and so have my guitar teachers and musician friends and family who have helped me become a better musician (I honestly don't know where I'd be without my mother and father. They are the best parents a son could ask for). Outside of school, I teach, do acoustic and electric gigs with many different bands around the southern CT region, and work at Blanchette Sporting Goods in Shelton, CT so if anyone needs school apparel or athletic equipment, you now know where to go. Sammy Blanchette has played with various musicians for the past 6 years, including John Scofield, Hubinger St., The Breakfast, George Lesiw Band, Electric Mayhem, Mamma Jamma, Jay LaBoy, Darian Cunning, Mike Greenberg, 16 year old Caitlin Kalafus of Kicking Daisies, Tim Palmieri Solo Acoustic Shows, Jacob Kendrick, and Alicia Keys guitarist Jeff Gitleman. Sammy at age 15 performed with Electric Mayhem at Toad's Place and at The Dodge Music Center in Hartford, opening up for the Allman Brothers. He has taken private lessons from guitarists Casey Gorman (Hubinger St.), George Lesiw (George Lesiw Band), Jazz great Tony Purrone, and is currently studying with Chris Morrison (Jazz guitarist and Western Connecticut State University Alumni). He is currently the lead and rhythm guitarist for Wavy Dave and the Wave Ryder band and is the lead guitarist for his rock/jam side project with Chris Deangelis and Adrian Tramantano. from the Breakfast. He has filled in for bands and musicians for many gigs/sessions.
Here's all of us in NoManZero throwin you a friendly "What Up?"...us, we are gettin ready to start gigging behind our recording produced by Jeff Moleski (known for recording the Smashing Pumpkin's Melloncollie album). We hit the road for shows in CT/MA/NY starting Dec. 18th and it's gonna be a blast play our songs and songs by band like Blink 182, Fuel, Hinder, Sum 41. Anyway,........
