Inspired by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Jewel and The Waifs, emerging artist Sam Crane has her sights set on reaching the top of Australia’s contemporary music scene. Performing with no more than her voice, her guitar and pure, heart-felt emotion she is captivating audiences everywhere with her own dynamic blend of folk and acoustic rock.
As the creative force behind three bands in the past, Sam made her public debut at the High School Rock Awards in 2000, the then 16 year old walked away as one of the youngest competitors to have received the “Most Outstanding Vocalist” award.
One of the highlights of her career was her appearance at the Tree-Huggers Ball held at the Tivoli theatre in early 2002. Performing as a guest artist she felt privileged to be performing along side other Australian alternative folk icons. Since completing a drama and stage performance course at Brisbane’s Steiner School Sam has grown immensely, becoming more centred and refined as a performer in the spotlight.
At only 21 years of age Sam has already made several radio appearances and performed for audiences from Brisbane to Coffs Habour including both public and private performances. Based in Brisbane, Sam has made appearances in many popular local venues as The Tivoli theatre, The Paddo and Indi Temple as well as regular bookings at The Indigo Bar, Cafe Zanetti, The Veg-Out Cafe, Cherry Lane Bakery and Rockafella’s Night Club (Fortitude Valley).
