Same Old Story is a 4 piece Pop/Punk/Rock Outfit hailing from Newcastle and Western Sydney. Forming in 2005 and playing over 100 shows in 2006, performing at such Festivals as STRIKE BACK '05 and '06, ELEVATION, BLACKSTUMP 07 and played support acts with bands such as BODYJAR, ANGELAS DISH, AFTER THE FALL, ANOTHER DAY DOWN(RIP), ANTISKEPTIC, SOMETHING WITH NUMBERS, THE SLEEPY JACKSON, and FAKER. By now you must be asking yourself. "These guys must be doing something right...”?
2007 seen the band undertake a front man change bringing Peter Noble(Ex Set The Pace Drummer) in to sing, play guitar and record a whole new set of tunes at a friends house producing a quality Demo followed up by much Touring around NSW, Sydney, Canberra and a full Lap of Tasmania in Early Nov with Melbourne Heavy Hitters The Seduction. By now things were really starting to pick up for SOS developing a fan base of young Punk Rockers only too keen to listen to that Pop Punk Flavour.
2009 is opening up to be one of the best years yet for SOS having played ROCKSTOCK fest early May 2008. playing Easterfest(QLD) 2009, Shooting a film clip for the single "Emo Kids" and will be launching their long over waited (But surely worthwhile) Debut CD The "Find me find u" EP in March and will be followed through with a Tour of the East Coast, Tas and some local shows around Australia.
So if your like us and are keen to check a band you’ve been stinging to see then come out and hang with us and grab a drink. If you made the effort to come out and see us.. The least we can do is meet every last one of you...!
