My name is Dannie, and I've been trying to find a way to contact you ever since the first airing of the episode of the "Tyra Banks Show," Gay Is The New Black." I'm a straight female, who attends church, and I believe that there's a God and that the Bible is something to follow. BUT! . . . but, unlike most other members of my church, I don't feel the same as they do about people, like you, who aren't straight. (I was trying to phrase that to not sound like I was being rude. I hope that it worked out okay.) I don't feel as though you, as a proud gay man, gets enough respect, and I feel as though you should get ten times more than what the whole gay/lesbian/bisexual community gets. Throughout the show, I felt like screaming at each and every person there that was saying that you "choose to be gay," that you "choose to straight," that you "choose to be this or choose that." I'm like Tyra in the sense that I'm FOR people that are born gay, or born a lesbian, or born a bisexual. Why hate on them, when it would make the world a much better place to just be friends with them? I feel badly for that young man, from the show you appeared on, that stood up and was telling about how his father tried to beat the gay out of him. I don't feel as though it's right for parents to treat anybody like that, even if they don't approve of what's going on witht heir child. Nobody wakes up, and decides that they want to be gay. I'm the kind of person that feels like it's something instilled in a person before they're born! I've wanted to get in contact with you, to let you know that I'm stoked that you are standing up for what you believe in. I'm going to have to cut this one shorter than I planned, and it's mostly my fault. I started talking with an old friend from school, and lost my train
