Samira Said has become much more than a notable figure in the music industry. She rose quickly to the first rank of Arabic song and has remained there for a generation. Each new album reinforces her position. Samira Said made her first big stage at the Eurovision song contest 1980 in the Netherlands and represented the Morocco is the only Arab country to have participated so far. In her early years, she was strongly influenced by Baligh Hamdi, Abdelwahab, Mohamed El Mougi, Sayed Mekaouni, and Faiza Ahmad and her husband Mohamed Soltan. These experiences led Samira to Cairo where she established herself as preeminent in Arabic music. Demand for her music is as great now as ever.
In 2006, she again struck gold with "Kolena Enssan," a new song for Africa of the Nations which she sings in French, English, and Arabic. "Kolena Enssan" debuted at the opening of the C.A.N. in Cairo in the summer of 2006, and her performance at Casablanca on July 21-22 won her the accolade, Queen of Casablanca. On November 4, she took part in the Concert for Tolerance in Agadir, Morocco, where she performed with many international artists...

Samira Said, exigences de la scene obligent, a fait plus que marquer. Elle s'est hissee, a force d'acharnement, au premier rang des stars de la chanson arabe, et y demeure depuis des annees renforcant a chaque nouvel album une position quelle ne semble pas prete de quitter.
Le chemin semble avoir ete trace de tous temps. Des premiers pas prometteurs, Samira Said a fait sa premiere grande scene a l'Eurovision de 1980 aux Pays-Bas et representait le Maroc, c'est le seul et unique pays arabe a avoir participe jusqu'ici. Elle a egalement fait des rencontres marquantes, notamment celles de Baligh Hamdi, Abdelwahab, Mohamed El Mougi, Sayed Mekaoui ainsi que Faiza Ahmad et son mari Mohamed Soltan, et voila Samira qui debarque au Caire, forte d'un immense talent et des encouragements de ceux qui avaient cru en elle.
En 2006 Samira chante une nouvelle chanson en francais, anglais et arabe pour la coupe d'Afrique des nations, elle l'a egalement chante a l'ouverture de la C.A.N au stade du Caire.
Ete 2006 Samira se fait nommee 'la reine de Casablanca' apres la reussite de ses deux concerts lors du festival de Casablanca le 21 et 22 Juillet.
Le 04 Novembre 2006 Samira Said a participe a un evenement international, un concert pour la tolerance a Agadir au Maroc avec plusieurs artistes venus de partout....

Siempre pensé que nuestra amistad sería especial, que sería capaz de sobrepasar la barrera del tiempo; que vería pasar estaciones incontables; sabes, tenía tantas expectativas puestas en ti; necesitaba tanto alguien en quien confiar...
Supe que ambas teníamos cosas que enseñarnos, que la vida nunca se equivoca, que nos tenía sorpresas preparadas y sin duda no creo haberme equivocado...
Sí, cosas buenas y malas; la mayoría de las veces las cosas suelen ser así de ambivalentes...
Pero no sabes cuanto me dolió tu desconfianza, tus celos sin razón, al pensar que yo no sería capaz de lastimarte de esa manera. El solo hecho de imaginarte que te arrebataría a quien mas "amabas".
Aún mi lógica no lo entiende, pero mi corazón no sana, la herida sigue ahí; me dolió que ni siquiera pensaras con un poco de cordura.
¿Crees que te hubiera insistido tanto en que abrieras los ojos y apreciaras el gran regalo que el cielo te hacía, con "él"; alentándote a que te atrevieras a vivir? ¿Acaso era lógico?
Siempre pensé que hacía bien, sin embargo fue un gran error, tal vez me entrometí en lo que no debía.
Y si fue así, solo tengo algo que decirte: lo siento, nunca fue mi intención lastimarte.
Pero quiero que sepas que no me arrepiento y que lo volvería a hacer una y mil veces... porque aunque no lo entiendas siempre lo hice buscando tu felicidad... de manera sincera...
Pero sabes, finalmente no fuiste tu quien me lastimó. Sigo siendo yo la que se lastima, fueron aquellas expectativas que se quedaron guardadas, que se perdieron no se en que momento, que simplemente... se esfumaron, tan rápido como "nuestra amistad".
Te agradezco la lección de vida que me enseñaste, pues aunque el panorama luzca sombrío, siempre existe esa luz que te indica el camino para continuar... para sanar las heridas...
