Her voice could change from extroverted to vulnerable within one phrase, all while balancing the feel of tune with that of the ecstatic.’ Using the range of her voice, her Hindustani classical vocal training, tanpura, electronics, and text, Samita charters her own territory within sound, language and emotion. She performs solo and within various collaborations (her primary collaborator is Marc Cary) internationally.
