I am a Cambridge based singer-songwriter, playing original songs with a folk/country vibe, usually a bit tongue-in-cheek (maybe I should try singing without my tongue in my cheek…).
A bit of background... my first band was in Moseley, Birmingham, a fairly standard indie type band. My next band, Easytiger, was in Malvern, and we just played loud and fast. Easytiger were like my family and I still miss them... sigh...
When I moved to Cambridge, I found I couldn’t get the rest of Easytiger to come out of their caves in the Malvern hills and join me, so I found myself on my own doing acoustic solo stuff. The tracks on here were recorded a couple of years ago - I've got newer stuff but just haven't got round to recording it yet.
Latest news is, I'm going on a world tour in October this year, taking in India, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Australia, Chile, Peru and Ecuador before heading to Austin, Texas and finally taking Nashville by the scruff of its dirty ol' red neck, playing the Grand 'Ole Opry (or a street corner) and buying a damn fine guitar. And then coming home. Anyone caring to join me on any leg of my trip is really welcome - I'd be glad of the company!
