   About Sam Leak
Myspace Images "Sam Leak is one of the brightest young stars in the jazz piano galaxy, a heavenly improviser and a brilliant prospect for the future." - Helen Mayhew

"a truly exciting and developmental player" - Gerard Presencer

I'm a Jazz Piano player from Cricklewood in North London. I run the band Aquarium with James Allsopp, Calum Gourlay and Josh Blackmore, and the Sam Leak Trio with James Opstad (Double Bass) and Dave Hamblett (Drums)

‘Aquarium’ play entirely my original music, and the Trio perform original music by all three of us. I have performed widely throughout the UK, have supported Benny Golson at Ronnie Scott’s, and I played at the 2008 Glastonbury Music Festival. I have appeared as a sideman on two albums. In 2008 I performed with US bass virtuoso Janek Gwizdala (Mike Stern, Randy Brecker) and performed a piano duet with John Taylor as part of Stan Sultzman's birthday Big Band concert. I am a current student at the Royal Academy of Music, studying under Gwilym Simcock (Jazz) and Pascal Nemirovski (Classical).

Hey Sam,

Mumuki sounds great. Your solo didn't feel 8 mins long on the night, not that it does on the recordding that is...

Never mind...

DYLAN HOWE - Vortex Aug 13

Oct 17 2007 6:39 PM

Snap up the Dylan Howe Quintet's new, acclaimed and final album 'Translation 2: Standards and Previews' for a piffling £5! But for the first 50 customers only, so get on it!

And there's more! We are now offering 'Translation Volume One' AND 'Translation 2: Standards & Previews' for just £10! (Normally £20)

Go to our page and just clink on the button under the offer to snap up the goodies. Well, they DO go together and they'd get lonely without each other...

You can also now buy Dylan Howe's first album 'The Way I Hear It' and second album 'This Is It' on our page too - £7.00 each - cheaper than iTunes...

Take advantage of our generous mood and get on that page, hepcats!

Groovy...
