Sammi Moore is a 22 year-old, country/southern rock, singer, song-writer originally from Marion County, TN now living in Nashville, TN. She and her band, the Sammi Moore Band, have been performing throughout the Southeast for 6+ years. They have fronted acts such as James Otto, Kentucky Head Hunters, Chris Cagle, Craig Morgan, John Berry, Big & Rich, David Allan Coe, Marshall Tucker Band, Darryl Worley, Confederate Railroad, John Michael Montgomery, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, Bucky Covington, Trent Tomlinson, Jamie O’Neal, Cowboy Troy, Road Hammers and Jason D. Williams. A couple years back, Sammi was a top finalist in the USA Television Network talent competition, “Nashville Star”. She has performed at many well known bars and clubs such as “Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge” and “The Stage” in Nashville, TN and “Wild Bill’s” in Atlanta, GA. The band members consist of Butch Witcher (who traveled the Southeast for more than 15 years with hard rock bands, plays bass), Donnie Keahey (who has over 35 years experience with various country and rock bands around the southeast, plays lead guitar), Kendall Body (who traveled the Southeast for more than 15 years as a hard rock guitar player), Mike "Spike" Smith (who has over 25 years experience with various rock and country bands throughout the southeast, plays drums), Donnette Moore (Sammi’s Mom, who sang and played in country bands for 20+ years, sings high harmony), and Joanie Witcher (Butch’s wife, who has been with the Sammi Moore Band since the beginning, sings low harmony). For all that want to know, our former lead guitar player, Rick Bowlin (who has over 30 years experience on and off the road with rock and country bands and traveled with ZZ Top) is recovering from his heart attack and hopes to be back with us by the summer, if not sooner. The Sammi Moore Band brings a program of upbeat originals and covers, strong vocals, and a lively, entertaining stage performance - something to please everyone.
