Sammi Morelli, an Aquarian/Pisces cusp, born in a small town outside the Vancouver walls, left the womb at a very early age to find bigger and better things. Bigger and better things she found when she realized that her shrieks were of a chromatic variety. Since that day she's been singing. Literally ever since, with no stopping/breathing/etc. Needless to say it wasn't long before ears were perking and she found herself at eleven years of age, co-writing and recording the song "Our Love Will Always Win" for the movie "Tilt".
Music was tunneling into her ears and spewing out of a pen at light-speed. Songwriting quickly became the love of her life, and by age fifteen, this vivacious teen had the full length CD "Unlimited" (B.Wade/P.Garay) and five song self-titled EP (S.Smith/A.Anderson – Banana Tunes) to her credit. These early efforts garnered her video play on Much Music, a featured guest spot on “MTV Live”, multiple tracks in the arcade and PS2 game "In The Groove", a World Festival award, a song ("Let Me Be The One") included in an episode of the hit TV show “Smallville”, a featured interview on CBC show "The X", and an opening slot for The Black Eyed Peas.
Traveling the world as part of an award-winning high school band/choir and playing highly acclaimed lead roles in musicals, this unaffected songbird filled her writing arsenal with life and diversified performance experiences, before joining the band “The New Colors” as lead singer.
It wasn't long before Sammi and the band were receiving industry nods and taking Vancouver by storm. The New Colors’ pop/rock/funk EP showcased songs that evidenced a matured lyrical effort by this young songwriter, penning soulful reflections of love lost and found, betrayal, revenge and forgiveness. With a signature lyrical honesty and raw, intense delivery, her loyal fan base is growing rapidly as she captivates new audiences.
Continuing on her musical journey, Sammi is teaming up with powerhouse producer/songwriter Jeff Johnson to co-write and record fresh music, which her fans have been eagerly awaiting. Hey Everyone, I am sending out a mass comment to alomost everyone that I know. I have recently met a family, that is trying to recover. Their house was burned down, they lost everything. They have 4 kids, all still in elementry school. 2 boys and 2 girls. a cat and a dog. THey are having to fight the insurance company for the insurance money. The mom is having to deal with this on her own, due to the fact that her husband is deployed over seas fighting the war. I am going to anyone that I can think of for help. if you are willing to try and see if you can help, please send me a message on here and I will talk to you more about it.
