So how do you write a short intro without sounding (a) arrogant, (b) sad or (c) twee ?
I was born and raised in South Yorkshire and have been writing songs and singing for a few years now. Initially I kept getting frustrated at not being able to replicate other people's songs. Then it dawned on me that no-one does Bob Dylan better than Bob Dylan or John Lennon better than John Lennon. That's when I decided to write my own things. I've been influenced Stephen Fretwell, Martha Wainwright and The Jayhawks.
New songs should appear at regular intervals.
I hope you enjoy one man and his guitar singing simple songs about complex things.
Hi Sammon, thanks for your friedship here. It was really a great pleasure to hear you at Kings Head on Sunday. Hope to see you soon, would be great to play some songs along you with my flute. Cheers, Christoph
hey man, I was the white van man all the way home from Spratton... and I'll tell you what... there is just something about it that makes you wanna cut people up and scream out your window... ha ha

And thank you for putting me in touch with Carleko as well - this event wouldve lost some massive components without you and - to quote - I doth my cap
'Bingo The Bird' - A Grim(ms) fairytale set to a lilting folk song. Nice one! Liked the biscuit tin drum sound and the way the strings kicked in 3 quarts of the way through, abrupt ending for some reason, before the tale had been fully told though.
I take it this was a short story your daughter wrote that you set to music? Mission accomplished, caustic and catchy.
I am so disappointed Chris a measly box of matches, what a bout a couple of gallons of petrol to feed the flame:) Of course you are welcome to head up north and play the candlelit sessions anytime. btw do I have white van man for the station and if not why not, I do have a white van after all. Peace #Rick
