I have been influenced by my mother who was a singer/songwriter, Tom Petty, Townes Van Zandt, Aretha Franklin, Sheryl Crow, certain songs by certain people. This section changes sometimes.
Here are some fun facts about me!
I am Sammy Barrett. I am now 22 years old. I am from Seattle but now live in Nashville. I started playing and writing when I was about 17. I write and play because it is my absolute favorite thing to do. I come from a musical family. My mother was a singer/songwriter and my dad is an audio specialist. My sister is my bass player and a darn good one at that! I have a record out called "On The Corner" that is available on CD Baby.com. and so on and so forth.
I am really happy to be playing music. I feel lucky that I can play. Lately I have been playing outside on the street corner downtown on Broadway in Nashville because I can do that pretty much whenever I want to. I love to play.
