I'm a songwriter, a Jew trying to grow closer to Hashem, an amateur historian, a goofball who appreciates mindless humor, a hick-raised backroad trained sidewalk philosopher, and a student 24/7 365.
Music means a lot to me. There were days of confusion in the past where my headphones were my only escape. Both Rebbe Nachman and Rebbe Shneur Zalman of Liadi taught that melody is the pen of the soul, and ive believed that for a long time now.
Torah is everything to me. I believe Torah is truth, and truth is Torah. I think Rambam got it right with the 13 Principles of Faith and I'm really into the teachings of Rashi, Ramban, HaAri, Ramchal, the Besht, Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, Rebbe Shneur Zalman of Liadi, Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson, and Reb Shlomo Carlebach. If I come of as a hypocrite, please try to judge as harshly as you would prefer to have yourself judged, cause even though sometimes I might come off as a man of contradictions, I'm trying not to.
