Slip inside the South Austin
Museum of Popular Culture and you plunge mind first into a time-warped
underland, where Austin's fabled counterculture and the artists who made it
immortal are liver than they'll ever be. Our official mission is to collect,
preserve, and exhibit art and memorabilia that reflect Austin's eclectic
contributions to pop culture worldwide. Unofficially, we're about the stuff that
made Austin weird!
With plenty of outrageous art, great munchies, and live tunes, our rockin' meet
'n' greets attract a diverse and fun-loving crowd, so watch this space for the
next one, come on down, and if you like what you see, please join us - your support helps us
keep on truckin'!
Kimle tanışmak isterim:
Fans of true Austin weird regardless of age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or size.

Benjamin Franklin House 36 Craven Street London WC2N 5NF
Following on from their sell out shows at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, The Red Velvet Curtain Cult shall inhabit and haunt the BENJAMIN FRANKLIN HOUSE with site specific art, performance, film, oddities and happenings from 13 artists. Set in a Georgian house where layers of history unravel from behind panelled walls and deep-set fireplaces whisper ashes of deeds past, the artists will engage with and draw inspiration from the history of the space, including its most famous inhabitant Benjamin Franklin, he of keys and kites….
Expect spinning tops, glass armonicas, trepanning games, story telling, ceremonial mythologies, muffled whisperings, cyclical wanderings, all serenaded by the sound of a haunting electric cello…
About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D
