About me: I review albums for ultimate-guitar.com, so this could be your chance for some wider exposure on a credible website. Send me a link to your latest releases (preferably current), and I'll see what I can do. Also help me out with information. I'll review most rock bands, ranging from punk to more or less anything else.
Who I'd like to meet: Any bands who are worth their salt.
Sincerely all the best of luck in avoiding being forced to fight for anything you don't believe in. I'd be chuffed to bits to be written about in any format - could you send me a copy?
hey, i'm still carving out my shameless-self-promotion niche. so: i just uploaded two new songs of a soon to be released album (the soapbox was finished early this morning, jasmine a few days ago.) i was hoping you'd take a listen and see what you think. :) i have another song about 80% done too; should be up in a few days. also, within the span of a month i should be putting out a cheap EP.
yes yes yes you can borrow my voice cause maybe then joni mitchell or emmylou harris can lend me theirs'. i'm thinking about putting an EP up on itunes this summer just so i can make a dollar cause gas is expensive. oh and cause i like to make music too.
thanks man oh a while ago, i sent you a blatantly shameless message on UG, trying to ride the fame of my good friend jake skubisz, haha. i'm currently in the process of recording my new album (which the first two tracks are from, and the third is a [bad] demo.) if i can ride my current surge of creativity, hopefully it should be out by the end of the month. so hopefully, by the time your may article rolls around, i should have a whole bunch of better tracks up here. :)
hey thanks for the critique, we’re aware that sometimes on the recordings there isn’t as much energy as say at live shows, but with the equipment we had to record this ourselves this was the best we could do and we are very proud of it. We actually started writing new stuff recently, even though it says hiatus on the page. The reason for the hiatus sign is that we are actually a little spread out at the moment. See we formed and began playing down here in Toulouse (France). We built up a bit of a fan base playing live shows then our drummer left around mid-November 2006. So we stopped playing together for a while. Then around April/May 2007 a rumor had begun to circulate that we were planning to record a bunch of tracks, though we hadn’t ever considered it ourselves until the we realized how exited everyone in the school was about the prospect of a release. So throughout May the three of us, sans drummer, started to write together and re-work the old classics in a new way, then recorded them. Sadly after the GCSE exams, Adrian and Paul moved away to opposite sides of London, leaving me down here. We decided that it wouldn’t be then end and we would defiantly pick up where we left off when we were at least all in the same country, so we opted for a hiatus. However, this didn’t really last as we begun writing more music using all of the genius programs that are available now such as guitar pro and reason etc. and emailing them back and forth. Sure it’s a slower process than just being in a room together but we all felt that we had a certain… musical frustration, we couldn’t connect on the same level musically with anyone else that we had played with since we went our separate ways. Hmm I’m not sure I intended to give you a overview of the bands history haha but oh well there you have it. Thanks again for the critique, you will get your penny in the post. ~ Jack Barnett
