Actor, Rapper, Model, and Host Sam Sarpong prepares to launch into the next phase of his career with the help of MTV. Mr. Sarpong, who has already appeared in over 40 movies, 35 television shows, was the international face of Tommy Hilfiger for 6 years, and is the current face of Levis will star as co-host of the heavily anticipated MTV show Yo Momma, with That 70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama.
This year you can catch Sam Sarpong on the sliver screen starring in 7 films including: Walt Disneys family comedy Keeping Up with the Steins co-starring Jeremy Pivens, Doris Roberts, and Daryl Hanna. The high school comedy Grad Night, co-starring, Aloma Wright , and Coolio, and the action-packed summer blockbuster Johnny Was, which features Eriq La Salle, Vinnie Jones, and Samantha Mumba. In addition Sam Sarpong can also be seen as one of the leads along side Clifton Powell, Richard Grant, and Art Evans in the Def Jam Universal picture Consequences.
Sam Sarpong can currently be seen on the small screen starring in the Golden Globes nominated UPN hit series Every Body Hates Chris, in a reoccurring role as Marlon, the hunky babysitters boyfriend.
Mr. Sarpong has been making a name for himself in the fashion world for many years. In 1998 he was the recipient of the prestigious MAA fashion award for new male model of the year. That same year he was named Tommy Hilfigers male model of the year. He was twice named Todays Black Woman magazines fifty most beautiful people in the world and in 2002 YM magazine dubbed Sarpong one of its fifty most beautiful people. Sam has walked the runway for high fashion designers such as: Versace, Donna Karen, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, and Ed Hardy.
With his new MTV show, 7 feature films hitting theaters this year, and a reoccurring role on a hit television show, Sam Sarpong is shaping up to be one of Hollywoods biggest break-out stars.
