* 29th sept 09.... ok I've just uploaded 2 new traks "The Dream" and "Save Me" which were part of a recent collaboration/experiment. All of the lyrics were written by me and all of the main vocals and harmonies were performed by me. The instrumentation was composed and played by Mark Vigano and Jurij Sadowskyj. Vocals in Japanese (on The Dream) by Reiko Azumi. Recorded and mixed by Mark Vigano 2009 in Sydney. I hope you like the songs. Please feel free to leave a comment!

*2006 The song "Asking For More" (2006 thanx to RockDog at Kiama!)
I have around 29 more songs ready to go! If anyone can help me with recording please give me a SHOUT!! And if anyone wants to purchase a cd of the single "Asking For More", message me and I'll tell you how! I managed to pull a band together consisting of Dave Patterson on guitar, Vanessa Tametta on violin, and the RatMaster on bass for a gig we did in Oct 2006 at Chippendale, Sydney. Dave and I also did a gig earlier in the year also in Chippendale. These gigs were called: Passionate Eruptus and showcased other local songwriters and poets too. I organized them and ran them.. which was fun, but exhausting! Since then I've been taking some time out focusing on doing more recording and doing a lot of painting (see my art at: http://www.redbubble.com/people/nebulart and teaching guitar (see my advert under my profile stuff here or in a blog around here somewhere).
If anyone wants to jam with a view to being on the next recordings I'm definately open to that! cheers, Sammi x
Influences
ahhh... this is maybe the hardest question to answer... because i believe we are "influenced" by ALL music... by everthingggg we've ever heard! it somehow gets stored in the old noggin data base, whether we like it or not! i don't listen to a lot of music because i'm like a sponge and i get easily saturated, but i guess the influences i'm most conscious of are a mix of styles and genres: Ani Di Franco, Joni Mitchell, PJ Harvey, Portishead, Kate Bush, Massive Attack, Rage Against the Machine, Devo, Cold Play, Tracy Chapman, Radio Head, Sia, Fiona Apple, Frente, Tegan & Sara (yes, it's true!), Foo Fighters, the guy that sounds better than Pete Murray.. wot's his name? LOL... and a bunch of other artists whose names escape me. i like lots of different stuff i hear on Rage, Triple Jay and FBI radio etc... and some of it is such crap though, i wince! lol i also like some rap and some metal...and some hard rock from the 70's is just hard to beat. (keep tryn lads)! i saw Marilyn Manson in concert in sydney a couple of years ago. love that heavy, dirty, filthy guitar sound they get.... the Beautiful people, beautiful people.... yeah!! other live concerts and gigs i've been to are: 1960's - Roy Orbison. 1970's - Daddy Cool (before they were famous!), Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa, John McLachlan with Jon Luc Pont, Cheech & Chong, Osibisa, Bob Dylan, Joan Armatrading, Joni Mitchell, Split Enz, Inxs. Donovan, Average White Band supprted by Butler (NZ), Elton John, Rod Stewart. 1980's - Police, Men At Work, Matt Finish, The Divynls, Goanna Band, Richard Clapton, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins. Other: - Prince, Tori Amos. (i think there are more, but i can't remember right now! .. to be continued..) lol

dunno, i like to think i just sound like me, and that i haven't just 'regurgitated' the influences i've absorbed from other artists too much.... but hey you decide!!! and let me know... who do i sound like????? (don't say any country singers or i'm comin round to yr house in ma ute and smack you round a bit)!
