Sounds Like
"Straight up, stripped down acoustic blues, with soaring trumpet and the voice, oh that voice! It sounds like its been treated with Bourbon forever, capturing raw feeling that rolls effortlessly."
Samuel is a Yorkshire-based singer and multi-instrumentalist. He is influenced by Tom Waits, Frank Zappa, Walt Disney and Stella Artois. His songs range from down-and-out jazz and blues to funky R&B and meaty rock. Samuel's music has been featured on BBC Radio, as well as having received a good deal of airplay overseas in Australia, Denmark, Italy and Poland.
Samuel's smooth and eclectic song styling is showcased beautifully on his debut album, Easy Street. Here's what people are saying:
"Disgusting, dirty, electric and downright filthy! Fantastic!" Billy Jenkins
"...with a smoky voice, smooth guitar, sax lines and a fair bit of pain... it's lovely stuff from this Leeds College of Music graduate." Tom Goodhand, Leeds Guide
"The new album, Easy Street, will shake your soul to its very core." Sascha Boehm, NoTitle magazine

Hi Sam, I got your latest CD from IVOLV and it's absolutely stunning. I especially enjoy the most bluesy & jazzy tracks, the ones I'm playing in my radio show here in fact! All the best from Italy! Massimo
No worries, glad you liked the piece and that you've used it on your site.
I was actually wanting to review it for maybe at least one other publication aswell so could really do with Grant sending me one just in case someone else claims the No-Title review.
Give him a nod and let me know the sketch, sure he's got my address still. I'll give Nadine a shout also but it would be easier direct.
Looking forward to eventually catching you solo and hearing the final product!!
I just read a review of your album in a free music zine in Leeds and it made me want to add you as a friend ... blow me you already ARE a friend ... I must have better taste than I realise :-)
Hey. I heard the good news about you replacing Ms Hudson at our school. I've never been happier. Our band The Chicago Overcoat, is to play our last ever gig this Monday. It'd be great if you could come.. If not, no worries, I'll see you on Wednesday.
