Great news! Heavy Metal picked up another of my short stories called, "Insomnia," for the new year. My previous short story called, "Bedbugs," was published in the July 2007 issue. Here's a look at "Bedbugs..."

Since Miguel and I (I being Suzy Dias) completed Samurai Elf: Bull's Eye. (vol.2) at the end of last year, we're not working on short stories, some of which will hopefully be in Heavy Metal Magazine this year and next...at least that's the plan. Miguel also started a new blog called the Tao of Guerra (taoofguerra.blogspot.com). Sorry, but myspace won't let me directly link to it. It's about the production side of comics. Everyone has their own style, but most of us are constantly searching for ways to improve our art -- anatomy, movement, blending, finshing techniques, etc. Some posts will have Miguel's thoughts on certain topics, but we'll also include tutorials and eventually videos and How To's. It's definitely not a fan boy site with top 10 lists and recitations on who's the best. There are enough of those.
Here's a sneak peek at the art from volume 2 or go to www.IberianPress.com for sample pages, reviews, character descriptions, and more.
A quick look at the art process behind Miguel's painting technique, used throughout vol. 2 Bull's Eye.
Here are some sample pages from Samurai Elf: Set Apart (vol.1). You can buy it anywhere, or click here to read the webcomic for FREE. Suzy and I figured that the best way to let people read our book is to put the entire thing online.
