Heres A Rosanna Type Shuffle groove I came with thats in 5/4 with sections of 9/8 back to 5/4

..Heres a 11/8 Groove that I start and "stay VEY simple" for the first minute (as in dont lose people ) and then build on . It has a couple cool breaks in it. This one also has alot more of a stright forward "Rock Attitude" than my other 11/8 video and Im using a click track on it as well. ENJOY

Welcome to my site! :O) I enjoy listening and playing to a wide range of music. Some of my influences include - Dream Theater, Rush, Jeff Beck, Tool, Steve Robinson, Van Halen, Nickelback, Yes, Rainbow, Triumph, Dennis Chambers, Toto, VERY OLD Genesis w/Gabriel, Peter Gabriel, Dixie Dregs, Dave Weckle, The Yellow Jackets, Stanley Clark, Journey, Kenny G, Kansas, Mr Invisible (Awesome Stuff Sheldon), Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Santana, Zepplin, Drum Corps ala Concord Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard ... yada yada .. and as of late some modern rock ... I'm in my 40's and have played most of my life (started at about 4 years of age), Ive been very blessed musically as I've studied with Narada Michale Walden (Jeff Beck Mahvishnu Orch.) Gram Lear (Santana) Skip Gillete (Gamma, Ronnie Montrose) and have played Live the full spectrum from large halls to small clubs. I'm VERY at home working in odd meters (LOVE IT), playing to a click track or in a prog rock, rock modern, classic rock, funk or fusion format. In the videos, you will see that I touched on different styles and grooves to show some of my different musical tastes. The videos range from very busy prog rock to Latin to laid back funk and an African type groove. With plenty of odd meters (13/8 9/8 11/8 7/4 5/4 7/8) quads, chops, ostinatos/independence, and hand to foot 32 note runs.

Im kinda liking the response to my new look :) Things are nuts here.... my princess is on two softball teams already and one is traveling city to city... Son is playing on high school vasity (Baseball)... his sr. prom is approching as well as graduation... damn Im not sure Im ready for this... sigh.... Im spanky though I can handle anything that comes my way... yeah yeah thats it!! Hows things with you darlin? U rawkin it? No doubt u are!!! Thanks! I will do some work on the African thing and see if I hear anything musically to fuel the melodies and all... These are the times when i wish I hadn't sold my guitar but then again I am glad I am not in federal prison for back taxes!
All "work" and no "play" makes Sammy a great drummer but...
Give yourself permission to be selfish and walk the dog or just take a walk and enjoy the gorgeous day! Go walk down to the corner store and pick up the paper or something if you MUST have an excuse!
