I was born in Harrogate on 17th March, 1982 and brought up in a town called Wetherby in West Yorkshire. In 2000, I went to study for a BA(Hons) in Music at the University of Nottingham and graduated in July 2003 with a First.

I moved to London in September 2003 to start working for the Film Composer George Fenton as his Music Assistant. My responsibilities included archiving, copying and research.
In April 2005 the London Gay Symphony Orchestra commissioned me to compose a piece for their World Aids Day concert on November 27th, 2005. Life Among the Lights premiered at St John's Church, Waterloo Road, London.
I began working freelance as a Composer in January 2006 and recently worked on Planet Earth Diaries, part of the landmark BBC Natural History Documentary series Planet Earth as well as a feature film and most recently the Doctor Who spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures and Being Human for BBC3 and Touchpaper Television. There are a couple of other things in the pipeline too.
