Depuis 1990, accompagnateur recherché des plus grands du Jazz Manouche, Babik Reinhardt, Raphaël Fays, Tchavolo Schmitt, Angélo Debarre... Samy présente aujourd’hui toutes les qualités et les talents d’un grand soliste.
Ninine Garcia dit de lui : "Avec humilité, Samy a passé la dure épreuve de l'école de la rythmique en adoptant le bon principe, marcher avant de courir". En 2008, porté par la confiance de ses « pères », il passe à l’étape supérieure : créer sa formation. Il teste son projet au Festival « Jazz in Marciac » et reçoit un accueil plein de promesses du public.
Entouré de David Gastine (guitare rythmique et chant) et de Claudius Dupont (contrebasse), Samy révèle ses talents de compositeur, et d’arrangeur dans la finesse du phrasé et la subtilité harmonique. Il apporte une nouvelle couleur au style, moderne, tonique, surprenante, tout en rendant hommage à la tradition du genre.
La pompe est tenue impeccablement fermement par David Gastine dont les interprétations vocales assurées, réchauffent et émeuvent. Claudius Dupont, contrebassiste attitré de Tchavolo Schmitt , est devenu une figure de l’instrument. Ils épousent parfaitement et librement les audaces d’un Samy Daussat gâté par l’amitié fondatrice du Trio.

Since 1990, he studied with and accompanied the greatest musicians the likes of Raphaël Fays, Angelo Debarre, Tchavolo Schmitt and of course, Babik Reinhardt. Samy has developed all the qualities and skills of a grand solo player. He will, in turn lead numerous young musicians amongst them David Reinhardt who he will help to take over the family tradition.
Here’s what Ninine Garcia says about him: “With humility, Samy passed the difficult test of school rhythmic with the good principle of walking before running.”In 2008, encouraged by the “fatherly” confidence, he moves to a higher stage and creates his own band. He installed his project at the “Jazz in Marciac” festival where he received a promising welcome from the public.
Together with David Gastine (rythmic guitar and vocals) and with Claudius Dupont (bass), Samy shows his composer’s and arranger’s talents in fine wording and in a subtle harmony. He brings a new color to modern jazz style, tonic, surprising as well as keeping the traditions of this style.
David Gastine holds the pompous impeccably and firmly, from whom the well assured vocal interpretations are warming and moving. Claudius Dupont the bass player dedicated to Tchavolo Schmitt has become a character of this instrument. He sticks perfectly and freely to the audacious compositions from a Samy spoiled by the Trio’s fundamental friendship.After having already visited the entire rhythmic world, it is now time for Samy to record the Trio’s album in which he will specially invite David Reinhardt.
