Lene Toje and Robin Sato formed Sanagi in Liverpool 2002. Robin Sato, from Japan, represents the instrumental part of Sanagi, through programming and the world of electronica. Words and melodies are created and by the voice and songwriter of Sanagi, Lene Toje. Sanagi's music can be described as organic electro with a hint of trip hop, experimental edge and humour. They have diverse range in material, which goes from sweet and beautiful, to upbeat with a hard edge.

. . . this is just to let you know that my brother Philipp is in town and we will play a Crazy for Jane show at the Down by the River Festival on Saturday. We go on at 2:45 in the afternnon, yes early, and we would love to see you by daylight. And then we can see all those other bands together. What do you say? If you want to come out tonight for a festival warm-up . . . they are screening "Berlin Song" at the Ping Pong Bar on Glogauerstrasse 21 at 9:30 p.m. tonight (Friday) and afterwards Crazy for Jane and Tomi Simatupang will play some songs. Yeah. So lots of opportunities to hang out and conversation and listen to music and watch clouds and the Spree and dreams and there is a swing at Bar25 . . .
Wow, I always knew Sanagi is special. But who else could make friends in sleep? Must be another special Sanagi skill!!! This supports me in expecting everything. Hope I will get to know Lene's and Robin's new projects (Even though I cannot imagine what could be better than the both of you making music together. But that's caused by my poor imagination).
