Sanctimonious have been together for 2 years now. They’re a 3 piece young band with real potential. They are all very talented musicians and very competent on their musical abilities. They play this garage-y indie rock, competently and with a swagger that belies their years. They are confident in their ability and creativity.
They have performed many gigs including regular spots at the bivouac. And played other venues such as The Drill Hall and The attic, and also participated in this year Boultham Park Festival. And managed to get a gig in London.. In the time of gigging they have played with such touring bands as Fony, Madisuno, Gu Medicine and the sound explosion. The band are very determined to get their name out there in the UK and get gigging soon!.
"This band is exciting, organic and fresh. Combining melodic phrases with an edge that gives sanctimonious real potential." Quote from Tom Whitney
“Sanctimonious excel at promotion, its as though they've got their ears (eyes) on everything that’s going on in town. They never miss a chance and kudos to them for it. They're right there, putting their name forward for gigs, support slots anything that comes up. They must spend half their life on-line networking, a vital part of the music industry at this level. They've managed to get themselves gigs in out of town, even London, whilst other bands sit there moaning about the fact they never get gigs out of Lincoln. It’s all down to sheer hard work. They put themselves about, they pester people - in the nicest possible way, but it’s the only way. They've come to realize they won't get gigs unless they work for them.
Of course, you can't just pester people for gigs and hope to get them. You've got to have the music, the talent, and the ability to back it up. And do Sanctimonious have it. Competent musicians, particularly for their age, confident in their ability and creativity. They also show dedication, determination, and talent. A winning combination I think. Keep your eyes open for them, check them out” Lincolnbands.co.uk If any promoters want us to play contact milligramsmile@hotmail.co.uk. Thanks! object>>..>
