NEXT MASS NOV 12th 8PM:

Father Travis K. Smith & Rue

From our October service:

Services held at THE FREMONT ABBEY 4272 fremont ave n, seattle (lot parking 1 block north at zundel dental)

Sanctorum is a dark beautiful mass with a gothic, emo/alt, classical, ancient/future vibe, sponsored by church of the apostles

experience a time of community, prayer, meditation and creativity enriched by hauntingly beautiful poetic expression, symbols, ritual, new media visuals and classic liturgical form.

explore an expansive electronic and live musical landscape ranging from the sisters of mercy, joy division and dead can dance, to the album leaf, rachel's system and sigur ros.

expect to meet new friends, nourish your soul, and encounter the divine. SANCTORUM is latin for 'holy place.' as we gather in community, in the name of God (Father, Son and Spirit) we will create this holy place and space together.

I love Seattle and plan to stick around for a while. I've been to Sanctorum a few times and regular COTA worship a couple times, and plan to come to the Trailblazer series this summer. But usually I'm over at Saint Mark's.

I found COTA through the internet, so keep up the good work!

Ecce Rex veniet Dominus terrae,

the Lord who will take from us the heavy burden of our exile

Both michael and I had a lovely time. It is good to find a place where we were made to feel so welcome. I will be sure to tell others about future sanctorum services.

i thought it was really great. i have to admit i dont understand much of the goth scene or what its all about, but i felt like i fit in last night. to tell you the truth i actually am really depressed right now in my life, so it was great to be in a place where that was addressed without fear or excuses. i'll be at the next one.

I've got my CDs together, and the fabrics we need. I'll be sending Lacey the sound files this weekend.
Do we need any extra candelabras---and do y'all want the statues for the Mass? I can bring everything this week.

I may not be at services this Saturday, but I CAN be at any after-church meetings.

i found that dark creeping thing in the corner. i will be there on the 19th despite my bubbly, fun-seeking personality!
