Earl Bennett (music bio)
Known as "the Hammer" in Contemporary Christian Music circles and a "ringer" in general business gigs along the east coast, Earl Bennett’s range of experience in music has spanned everything from pop-rock, jazz, swing, alternative and symphonic drumming to engineering, producing, writing, arranging, and the general encouraging of young drummers to advance in the art and skill of playing drums. His heart, however, has long been in helping to facilitate an understanding of true worship.
Since 1978, Bennett has been a committed member of several praise bands and serving local churches to help facilitate worship. Soon after graduating with a degree in Music from Jersey City State College, Bennett met and married his singer/songwriter wife Stephanie and went on to pursue a life together of organic Christian fellowship and musical diversity. From the early days of playing in churches, clubs, and large Christian music events such as Creation ’90 and throughout the New Jersey music scene to the present time of supporting various ministries throughout south Florida and managing Sanctuary Sound Studio in Palm Springs, Earl has always endeavored to make the Lord central to his playing and his life. Bringing his “big ears” and strong faith in God into each musical situation, Earl never fails to remember his lifetime verse from Proverbs 3: 5 - 6 which says "Trust the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path."
Sanctuary Sound is a full-service project recording studio with capabilities for recording and mixing dynamic custom demo and full-length CD projects for singer/songwriters and bands. We have also done audio recording for video advertisements, public service announcements, and audio book projects. Our work has been featured in customized marketing campaigns, radio, television, and print media throughout the past ten years.
We seek to develop and encourage songwriter/artists to record their music in an environment that is supportive, affordable, and conducive to the full flow of creativity. Project rates reflect a desire to encourage young talent, and to build into the dreams of those individuals who value authenticity and the expression of beauty through music.
