SaND is a musical duo from Gothenburg, Sweden, consisting of Elinor Sahlin (vocals, percussion) and Tommy Sahlin (vocals, guitar). They write and perform all their material together, with a presence and interaction reminiscent of Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons.
SaND radiate a strong musicianship which carries through whether the format is scaled-down acoustic or with a full rock band. This is evident on their first record, an EP with 5 original songs released in February 2005.
SaND has since had a one-year break to buy a house, get normal jobs, get married, play and record with other musicians, and other life-related issues.
SaND will always write, record and perform a wide variety of music - expect future releases to have quite different musical settings! Although they will always be recognizable through the songwriting, delivery and vocals.
