Although it might seem strange, Hip Rock N' B is how we can best describe this diverse project by Rukus Avenue artist Sandeep.
Hip hop can make you dance and adopt a certain swagger. R&B singers try to make you fall in love with them. Rock artists unleash their energy & make you feel their emotions. At any one point in Sandeep's debut album, FROM THE OUTSIDE, he might achieve one (or all three) of the above.
Sandeep has hand crafted a very imaginative album, writing, producing and singing every song. It shows in the writing, as each song has a very personal feel. Equally impressive is the breadth of sound accomplished on this recording; Sandeep's songs alternately incorporate Indian Carnatic violins, exotic percussions, electric guitars, shamisen, hip hop breakbeats, and powerful pianos. He does not shy away from nor overly promote his ethnic heritage, rather, he incorporates it subtly into his productions only where it adds to the feel of the song.
