Under the direction of Abelardo D. Flores, The San Diego Concert Band, an all volunteer community band, invites musicians of all ability levels to join their high quality performing group. If you have band experience, we have a place for you.
Celebrating now 20 years of entertaining San Diego residents, this band has an exciting schedule of concerts planned this year. Annual spring and winter concerts are performed throughout the county, including the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, and a summer series of "concerts in the park" are performed at La Mesa's Harry Griffen Park and Balboa Park. The band frequently features solos, full sections and small ensembles. A wide range of music is performed, from showtunes, movie scores and marches to concert pieces for symphonic band.
REHEARSALS ARE EVERY THURSDAY, 7-9 PM, IN THE BAND ROOM AT LA MESA MIDDLE SCHOOL (4200 Parks Ave, La Mesa 91941)
NO AUDITION REQUIRED
