About me:

In cooperation with http://www.jointheimpact.com/, we will be holding a Marriage Equality rally in San Diego on November 15th. This Saturday, November 15th, 2008 there will be protests in cities all across America. They will all occur at the same time. It is necessary for Americans from every corner of the country to stand up. It is time to make it clear to the proponents of hate legislation that they have gone too far. Please click on the icon below to go to our main group, as this page is a sect of the same group:

Anyone interested in social justice, equality and a bigotry free America. People willing to protest and stand in the face of adversity for not only themselves, but for all those who are afraid to do so.

Participating in the march on Saturday was incredibly powerful. I've never been prouder to be an American. (actually, I haven't been proud for as long as I can remember...)

Equal rights are matter of when, not if... and I pledge fight until 'when' is 'now'.

    Love,
    Another straight girl for equality

My ex-boyfriend and I marched last weekend in San Diego for the Saturday walk and I have to say, it was one of the most moving things I have ever been a part of. Being a straight person on the otherside and seeing how the opposing side treats gays is horrific beyond belief. I wish all the opponants could walk on the other side and see what it's like to have profanity and hurtful things yelled at them for wanting to be happy and live a dignified, normal life without fear. Unbelieveable! My ex and his fiance and myself will be walking in the Oceanside area in San Diego again this weekend and we will continue to walk in as many rallies and marches as possible till our nation sees the injustice that is happening.
We gotta finish this to the end! Thnx!! Irene

Because individuals and religions have the freedom to choose how to define marriage at the level of home and church. Because America is about legal rights equally to all regardless of personal or religious beliefs. This right is being denied at the legal level....

TAKE IT TO SACRAMENTO ON NOVEMBER 22ND!

With the unfortunate outcome of the recent passage of Proposition 8, the GLBT community has united in a presence that we have not seen since the early 1980’s and the onset of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

It is with great respect that California Outreach, in partnership with Equality Action Now, humbly asks you to join GLBT individuals and organizations, PFLAG and our straight brothers and sisters at a peaceful outreach on the steps of the California State Capitol Building at 2:00pm on November 22nd.

Please join us as we reach out to all the citizens of California to demonstrate that we will not tolerate discrimination to be written into our State Constitution.

    Who: Anyone and everyone.
Where: California State Capitol Building, Sacramento, CA
    When: 11/22/08 2:00PM
Why: Equal Rights are inalienable and CANNOT be taken away.

In 1987 the largest rally for gay rights in Sacramento took place, counting 15,000 strong. We need to stand together and make a statement that we will not stand idly by and let the rights of our sons, daughters, parents, and friends be taken away. Twenty one years later — 30,000 strong. Are YOU ready to make history?

The success of this event depends upon getting the word out. Invite your friends!
