About me:
I am a Multiple Sclerosis survivor. In March of 2000 I went through a Stem Cell Transplant to see if we could stop my M.S. what we did not know was that I was going to get better, and keep getting better over the years. 3 years before my Transplant the doctors told me I was going to be in a wheel chair within 5 years. I said there are two things I don't look good in, yellow and a wheelchair. I was walking with a cane. I had no bladder control, no control of my hands, and I was loosing my eye sight. Today, I am running, writing, and even yesterday I painted flowers on my friends toes. Thay say I still have M.S. because I still have the lesions in my brain, but ever since my transplant I do not have any new lesions, and my brain seems to be working better. The simple explanation given by my doctor. Now that my body is not fighting illness all the time, it has had time to heal itself. My brain has found new pathways around the old lesions, and I am getting better, and stronger each day. I have a new chance at life, a 2nd chance. And I am going to make the best of it. During my months of illness going through my Stem Cell Transplant all I did was listen to Comedy. It helped me feel so great that I decided to go out and try to make others feel great too.
