A place and time that inspires visions of the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, with the likes of LORETTA LYNN or TAMMY WYNETTE. Not since the early days of JEAN STAFFORD has Australian country music experienced the essence of pure country. But that’s what Sandra Humphries is all about.

With the release of her debut album titled "Every Road", produced by "Bill Chambers", Sandra certainly created a little "talk" in the Country Music Industry!
In September 2003, Sandra was announced as "INDEPENDENT ARTIST/ ALBUM OF THE YEAR, for her Album "EVERY ROAD" at the Tasmanian and New Zealand Independent Awards held in Launceston.
Tamworth 2004, saw Sandra take home the coveted TIARA Award (Tamworth Independent Artist Recognition Award) - FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR 2004. As well as this she was nominated Top 5 for song writing for the song Every Road, co written with Fiona Holliday.

8th October, 2005, Sandra released the follow up album to Every Road. The album titled Sandra Humphries – Take the Pain Away, has been long anticipated, and is predicted to be even more successful than the first. The album features 3 songs, self penned by Sandra including the title track, Take the pain away.
Take the pain away was recorded in Sydney with long time friend and producer Bill Chambers, and like Sandra’s first release features some of Australia’s top Country musicians.
The album has been released to great reviews, with some saying that country hasn’t been sung like this since the days of Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and Australia’s own Jean Stafford. Already the album has received two nominations in the Tamworth Independent Artist Awards for 2006!
The first single released to radio & CMC, was penned by Sandra. The song is “Biggest Fool Around” spent eight weeks in the top 20 of the Australian Country Music Charts.
Sandra is currently writing songs for her 3rd album, which will be released at the 2009 Tamworth Country Music Festival.
