I started playing bass in Wahington D.C. back in High School in 1992. A couple of friends asked me if I wanted to join their Hardcore band "Pain of Life". We played a bunch of shows around the local D.C. circuit for about 2 years.
In 1996 I decided to come down to Chile on vacations and ended up staying. It wasn..t long before I found a band. I answered a "bass player wanted" ad in a local heavy metal music shop and auditioned 2 days later. After a succesful audition, I was immediately offered to join the ranks and play in "Dogma".
After playing a lot of shows around the local "Thrash Metal" scene we went into the studio to record our first studio album in 1998 titled "Improve the Silence"
In 1999 I was contacted by another local band "Kerosene". They asked me if I could go into the studio and record the bass tracks for their upcomimg album "Forthcoming". As a result of this collaboration, I ended up recording my second studio album and playing with them on a permanent basis as a side project to "Dogma".
In 2000, with "Dogma", we went on to record our 2nd studio album "Superfix". This album displayed by far a much more creative side of the band and not only got good reviews, but also led the band to play in bigger shows and around the country.
I decided to leave Santiago in 2001 for personal reasons and left everything behind without looking back."Dogma" then recorded their next studio album "Disco Inferno" in 2002. Although I was not physically playing in the band anymore, the live tracks featured on that album were recorded by me on a live radio show "Raras Tokatas Nuevas" in 2001 before my departure.
In 2004, I decided to return to Santiago after a 4 year absence. Once back, I quickly regrouped my old side project "Kerosene" and happily started playing again after 4 years of not participating in a band. Over the course of the next two years, I also played in other bands such as "Excecrator" and "Arkham".
In 2005 I got an unexpected invitation from Franco Lama to play in "The Shrink". It was in this band where I finally felt "at home" and decided to dedicate myself exclusively to playing with them. After a pretty long writing process of about a year and a half, "The Shrink" goes into the studio to record a new album titled "Break New Ground" in 2007.
After finishing the album, "The Shrink" starts playing live around Santiago to get back in the swing of things. Thanks to several successful live performances "The Shrink" is invited to be one of the opening act bands for the "Hellish Rock World Tour 2008", and plays with "Helloween, "Gammaray", and "Human Factor" in Teatro Caupolican on Aril 13th in front of 4000 people.
The rest is history still in the making!!!
