Music cannot be defined by technical mastery alone; it must emote a personal philosophy and passion as its source. Some people are born with music in their souls, and these are the people that change us forever. Sandro Albert's love affair with music began on the streets of Porto Alegre, Brazil. At the age of 14, Sandro bought his first guitar from an ice cream vendor who played his instrument to the people walking by. Not long afterwards, a friend began to share his jazz collection with him. Some of his earliest influences were Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, and Brazilian icons Milton Nascimento and Antonio Jobim. To this day, the sounds and imprints of the busy streets of Porto Alegre can be heard in Sandro's music. Sandro is that rare phenomenon in the jazz world that is as equally gifted as a guitarist as well as composer. For the past half decade, he had dedicated himself solely to his music. The Sandro Albert Quintet has performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's, Catalina Bar & Grill, Yoshi's, the Blue Note, among other venues. Sandro has played and/or recorded with major Brazilian and American artists such as Milton Nascimento, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Flavio Venturini, Ze Renato,Claudio Roditi,Toninho Horta,Brenda Russell, Rita Coolidge,Ruben Blades, Herb Alpert, the band WAR, Victor Bailey, Abraham Laboriel, Jimmy Haslip, Alphonso Johnson, Russell Ferrante,Bill Charlap, Kenny Garrett, Harvey Mason,Peter Erskine, Antonio Sanchez,Vinnie Colaiuta, Luis Conte, Leon Ware, Raphael Saadiq, James Ingram and Robben Ford among others. In Brazil, Sandro found his magical sense of harmony and melody; in the United States, he defined his masterful improvisational style. Sandro has just completed his second album, The Color of Things. This new project is a potent example of Sandro's relationship to music. The music illustrates a period of great time in his life, which he showcases with strong writing and provoking emotion. Sandro is currently working on his third record: An acoustic project with over 20 musicians involved which will be called "A Beautiful Cloudy Day". Eddie: "Well, I can't lie to you Clark. The truth is, things ain't going too good at all. You know I told you I borrowed the RV from my neighbor? Nope. It's mine. We live in it. I had to sell off the house, the barn, the ten acres. All I kept was a 50-foot plot, the pigs and the worm farm..."

Eddie: "Oh, well, that's the bad part of it. See, I don't know what to do. We coasted into town on fumes. The gas money give out in Gurnee. "
