Sandro Rebel

Bio:

A 2000 graduate in "Music Synthesis" and "Contemporary Writing & Production" from Berklee College of Music, Sandro Rebel is a relatively new reference to the Los Angeles music scene despite his 20-year experience in the Music Business.
In Los Angeles, Sandro has been working with artists of a myriad of music backgrounds and styles:

• Mexican pop diva Gloria Trevi
• Former “Miracles” R&B Recording Artist Billy Griffin
• African Recording Artist Maria de Barros
• Bolero Legend Lucho Gatica
• Persian artists Andy, Hengameh, Habib & Mohammad..and Shahyad
• Adult Contemporary Singer/Songwriter Ray Brown Jr.
• LAMA's Vocal Dept. Chair Kevyn Lettau
• Salsa singer Leslie Paula
• Asian singers Phil Chang(Taiwan) and Marco Sison (Philippines)
• Sergio Mendes' current and former band members Kleber Jorge, Octávio Bailly and Meia-Noite

A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sandro has also done extensive work as a keyboard player in his country with numerous artists .
A multi-faceted professional, Sandro Rebel was also involved in educational activities as the Piano Dept. Chairman and faculty for the contemporary music institution "Rio Música School of Music".
Sandro was also a staff member in a Latin American pioneer project at the National Library’s Division of Music, making the only recordings available of valuable Brazilian classical compositions from the beginning of the century.
A recipient of Berklee's Achievement Scholarship and of the John Dankworth Professional Writing Award, Sandro Rebel moved to Boston in 1996 to pursue his studies at Berklee College of Music.
While in the East Coast, besides being one of the most sought-after pianist/keyboard players for the college's activities, Sandro Rebel also had one of his arrangements selected to be performed at the college's Annual "Chord Scale Madness" concert. He also worked for the Boston-based band "Soul of Boston", and has also collaborated as a CD-ROM Editorial Assistant for Dr. Richard Boulanger's/MIT Press "The Csound Book"
Berklee School of Music later invited Sandro to join its International Representative team to provide valuable orientation to prospective Brazilian students.
