Music is a concept, an experience of inspiration and creativity. From the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, the heart pumping out most of the world’s oil, where sandstone is the most abundant rock type in the area, we are an assemblage of artists looking to be unique and original. We try to avoid playing covers as much as we can. We experiment, paying no mind to the risk of failure and/or rejection. In Sandstoned, nothing is constant; we love, we hate, we fear, we aspire to musical euphoria and beyond, we cry, we sacrifice, we seek to imbibe and incorporate every pleasurable binaural sonance we hear, we learn from every reality we experience and indulge in every illusion we come across. All that comes to be must have meaning. This is what makes us "Sandstoned."
Time Line:
[05/2006] Bader met Mohammed. [09/2006] Bader and Mohammed proposed the idea of Sandstoned. [12/2006] Mohammed and Bader started to jam together independently. [02/2007] Bader met Ayman. [03/2007] Ayman joined Sandstoned as a vocalist. Hani joined Sandstoned as a keyboardist. [04/2007] Ayman, Mohammed, Hani and Bader started to jam together. [09/2007] Fawaz joined Sandstoned as a session drummer, and Sandstoned recorded "Revealed" as a demo in "3rd World Studio." Ayman left Sandstoned. [10/2007] The band started to jam regularly without a vocalist. Sandstoned, then, started to look for a vocalist by hosting a very long audition session. [11/2007] Haitham joined the group as a drummer. Ahmed A. joined Sandstoned as a guitarist. Ahmed T. joined Sandstoned as a vocalist. [12/2007] Ahmed T. left Sandstoned for personal reasons. Hani left Sandstoned. Ayman was back with Sandstoned as a vocalist. [01/2008] "Revealed," "The Maze" and "Sympathy Empathy" were released. [02/2008] "Lost" was released. [04/2008] Haitham and Ayman left Sandstoned. Kamal Khalil joined the band as a drummer. Fahad joined the band as a vocalist. John joined Sandstoned as a keyboardist. The band enters a new phase. [03/2009] RIP John Hany - Sandstoned is disbanded
Its been a while and we thought it was about time we updated you on what we've been up to. Our debut EP Little World is now available at our gigs and will soon be available from our myspace and facebook pages, you will also be able to download it from itunes, but we don't have a release date for this as yet.

We have spent the last year rehearsing with a full band and are now ready to bring it on the road. You can get a look at us when we appear on Balcony TV this week with the full line up. I am now
recording for a new set of releases called the "Persona Series". These
cassettes will be commissioned works (not by content, but by payment)
for individuals. If John Smith in London, England wants his own Zebulon
Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute
tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him
(Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to
the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting
rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection,
and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will
be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for
the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including shipping), and will be
shipped in its completed form no later than 6 weeks from the date of
purchase!!!
