Sandstorm FX & Productions is an independent film company owned and operated by Michigan native, Mark A. France. With over thirty film and television projects credited to his name, France created Sandstorm FX in 2003, working on seven films that year, including "An Apology to the Dead" and "Love & Plutonium". 2004 was another big year with such films as "Weenie Roast Massacre", "Dirty Trousers" and Sandstorm FX's own "Midnight of the Mind".
After a strong year in 2005, France joined with fellow special effects artist, Ken M. Clark IV, to create Midnight FX, while also maintaining Sandstorm FX & Productions as his 'mother' company.
Sandstorm FX & Productions short film, "Beyond Midnight", was an Official Selection at the Thriller! Chiller! Film Festival held on October 13 & 14, 2006.

Mid Summers Expo will occur on Saturday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the City Sports Center Arena, located at 3401 E Lafayette in Detroit, just a few miles down from Greek Town Casino.
Admission is $5 per adult at the door. Children, ages 12 and under, are free with paid adult. Parking at the City Sports Center is free and securely gated.
