While Sandy tours alone - his CD "The Road Home" was only made possible with the help of a number of talented and generous individuals. Playing Bass and writing lyrics was Alan Smith. On drums, as well as engineering and co-producing the CD was Ted Etheridge (MusicBox Studio in Hamilton, NC). Miles Costin of the "Transzenders" supplied guitar (rhythm and lead). David Hemenway added some backing vocals.
Sandy has been playing piano and writing songs for about 30 years. His music is strongly influenced by Elton John and Billy Joel, while his vocals echo those of Meatloaf. In 2004, Sandy recorded and released his debut CD, "The Road Home", a collection of 12 original inspirational pop songs.
Today, Sandy continues to write music and play here and there - mostly in church venues, (Unity Church of the Triangle in Raleigh, NC is where you're most likely to see him).
Sandy is currently assembling material for a followup CD to his 2004 release, "The Road Home". At the moment, this release is likely to be a combination of his spiritual/inspirational songs as well as some secular material.
In addition to this CD project, Sandy is also working on building a foundation for writing a musical. The musical would feature a number of his existing songs as well as additional material and would be a "New Thought" musical - inspirational and spiritual, but pulling ideas from Christian, Buddhist, Jewish and other texts.
