I grew up in rural Colorado where the faces around me looked all the same. Mom told me to get out of our test tube city. I traveled to the big city, Denver and wasn't satisfied.
Then to Costa Rica where my eyes and ears adjusted to different faces and sounds. I stayed in Costa Rica for three years where life stood still in my cabin in the cloud forest. Rainy seasons brought out my guitar, I fought off the mold and sang with the pouring skies.
I love small towns. But had to stretch outside into a city and landed in South America. I found influences in the broken concrete, the rugged coastlines, and the stares that followed me around every corner.
I could only stretch so far and now I'm back home, trying to bring foreign ideas to local minds.
I met Gabe my drummer and we have started up a simple duo playin in venues around town. We've talked about bringin in bass, and even horns. For now, I enjoy the simplicity of our set up and the opportunity to play at home!
