When I’m asked what kind of music I play, I have to step back and ask that question myself. So far I haven’t been able to pin down the answer. I do like country music, but I’m certainly not a country musician. I have a tremendous love for blues; I really don’t consider myself a blues artist either. Rock and Roll has a very broad definition, so to say I’m a rock & roller doesn’t really answer the question either. I can say if you like Blues, Country, or just straight up Rock and Roll. You’ll like “The Sandy Saunders Band.”

Augusta Georgia native, Sandy Saunders has been making her mark on the Northwest music scene since her arrival. The vocal powerhouse attracts audiences everywhere she goes. Whether playing country rock favorites with “The Usual Suspects” or bluesy standards with “The Sandy Saunders Band”, the crowd just can seem to get enough. Lately Sandy and the boys have been focusing much of their time in the recording studio. Many of Sandy’s originals are already loved by her ever-growing following. There is always someone in the crowd yelling suggestions for her original works like “Shoot Myself” and “White Sand & Margaritas.” “Well” says Sandy, “You certainly haven’t heard it all." The new C.D. set to be released in early 2010 will include works you may or may not have heard us play like “Slip & Slide”, “13th Page” and “Shake these Blues” just to name a few. You don’t need to wait for the C.D. to arrive, just keep an eye on the calendar for a show near you and get a live taste of what’s to come.
