Sandy Star was born Ava Hayles on July 15th,in the 70's and was raised in Duhaney Park, Kingston 20 which is situated in the north-western section of St. Andrew in Jamaica. Her sultry voice has been known since the 90's and she has continued to make her mark in the Jamaican Dancehall circuit with great Lovers Rock music. She can be seen at many major shows here on the island and even across the world touring places like the US,Canada and Europe. Some of her tracks can be heard on the radio and at parties while her music video for her remix to Don't Wanna Lose Your Love featuring Mad Cobra, a very popular dancehall icon of all time, is being heavily rotated on local cable stations. She has even performed with him at many major stage shows across the world as well as other famous artists including Macka Diamond, Ninja Man, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Lady Saw, Spice and many more. She is currently recording many songs, most of which are for Ward 21 on the Natural Bridge Label. Look out for this singing sensation, she'll thrill your soul.
